The Dos and Don'ts

In general you should just look at what I've posted on my Insta or my YouTube thumbnails.
But still, here's a rough list with stuff I'll draw or won't. This list isn't limited to the mentioned subjects and can vary from commission to commission.What I will draw:
- Fanart
- Original Characters
- Portraits of Friends
- Splatoon / Sonic / PokémonWhat I will NOT draw:
- NSFW
- Gore
- Mecha
- Religious, hateful or political messages
- Portraits without consentWhat I'm not great at:
- Furry (Sonic characters are fine, but they also barely count as furry imo)
- Highly detailed clothing / outfits (e.g., Genshin Impact's character's would definitely get majorly simplified)
- Detailed Animations

Terms of Service

General Information:
- By commissioning me, you agree to these terms.- I reserve the right to decline any commission request for any reason.- Commissions are not first come first serve. I prioritize based on my schedule.- All Commissions are for personal use only unless commercial rights are purchased, Some offers, like Livestream Emotes / Thumbnails already include commercial rights.- Prices are starting points and may increase based on complexity or additional requests.- I accept a limited number of commissions at a time. Once slots are filled, new requests go to a backlog, which I’ll address as I free up.- If you submit a request while slots are open and I don’t respond within a week, it’s likely declined.Payment:
- Payments are through PayPal only.- 50% upfront is required to start; the rest is due upon final approval.- Refunds are unavailable after the sketch is approved.- Art trades are reserved for close friends.Sales:
- Sales typically occur within a predefined and publicly announced time frame.
- If you submit the Google Form during the designated sale period, the discounted price will automatically apply, even if I only start working on your commission after the sale has ended.Process:
- I’ll provide regular updates (e.g., sketch, line art + base colors, shading).- Revisions are allowed during the sketch phase. Once line art starts, only minor edits (e.g., small details or color edits) are allowed.- If delays come up on my end, they'll get communicated.Usage Rights:
- I retain the rights to all commissioned work.- You may not resell, distribute, or use the work in commercial projects (e.g., merch, published media) without purchasing commercial rights.- I do not allow my art to be used in NFTs, AI training or anything blockchain-/crypto-related projects.- All my art will be glazed and that's the only version you get!- Reposting or sharing my commissioned art is allowed with proper credits to my username / handle (@AirMateYT)Commercial Rights:
- If you purchase a commercial license (or if it is included in the original offer), you are granted the right to use the commissioned artwork for commercial purposes, such as social media, promotional materials, monetization, or other business-related uses.- If you want to make merchandise with the artworks, please reach out to me again, so we can talk about the details- If you do not purchase a commercial license, you may only use the artwork for personal, non-commercial purposes, such as private use or sharing on private social media accounts.- If I become aware that the artwork is going to be used for commercial purposes without a license, I will notify you and request the purchse of a commercial license. Unauthorized commercial use may result in additional fees or legal action.Cancellations:
- If I am unable to complete the commission, for any reason, you'll get a full refund.- Canceling mid-project means I’ll retain 25%-50% of the payment, depending on progress.Deadlines:
- Commissions usually take 1–2 weeks after I start. You’ll get regular updates, so please no spamming for updates.- Tight deadlines are rarely accepted, but if I agree, an extra 50% rush fee applies.Client Responsibilities:
- Clear visual references and detailed descriptions are required to avoid errors.- Not providing any visual references will lead to me declining the request.- Communication must remain respectful. Aggression or inappropriate behavior will result in cancellation without refund.Privacy:
- I may stream the process of your commission on YouTube / Twitch, and I may also post the result on my social media accounts. If you don't want me to show them anywhere, please check the "Private commission" box in your request form. Note: This may extend the delivery time, since I'm not able to create content for my social media with it.Legal:
- All commissioned work is prohibited from being modified, sold, or redistributed without permission.- Fanart commissions of characters from video games, tv shows/anime may be used by me to produce physical prints, merchandise, etc.

When you place a commission with me, I collect the following personal data:Preferred Name: The name you wish to be called for the duration of my services.
Type of Commission: The specific service you’re requesting.
Commercial License: Whether you’ve purchased a commercial license for the commission.
Description of the Commission: Details regarding your commission request.
Visual References: Any images or references you provide for the commission.
Privacy Request: Whether the commission is private or public.
Deadline: If there is a tight deadline, the specific deadline date.
Contact Information: Social media platform and handle you prefer for communication.
Payment Information: Your PayPal email address for invoicing.2. How I Use Your Data:
The information I collect is used solely for the following purposes:To process payments and issue invoices via PayPal.
To communicate with you about your commission (updates, revisions, etc.).
To provide you with any additional information or clarifications about your commission.3. Sharing of Your Data:
I do not share your personal data with any third parties, except for using PayPal to process payments. PayPal may collect and store your payment details as per their own privacy policy, which you can review on their website.4. Data Retention:
I retain the personal data you provide indefinitely unless you request me to delete it. This data is kept for the purpose of tracking completed commissions and any related updates. If you would like your data removed, please contact me using the information provided below.5. Security of Your Data:
Your data is collected through Google Forms, and only I have access to the responses. While I take steps to ensure the safety of your personal information, I currently do not implement additional security measures such as encryption. For my Trello board with all ongoing commissions, I shorten and abstract the collected information, so they don't reveal anything.6. Your Rights:
You have the right to correct or request deletion of your personal data. If you wish to exercise these rights, please contact me via your preferred social media platform (provided during the commission process).7. Cookies:
I do not use cookies or any tracking technologies on my website or forms. Carrd's Google's or Trello's cookie policies might differ from mine, so be sure to review their's yourself.8. International Transfers:
As my services may involve clients from different countries, your personal data may be transferred to and stored in a location outside your home country. Please be aware that data protection laws vary by country, and by submitting your data, you consent to these potential transfers.9. Contact Me:
